Lovecraft Nation Cancelled at HBO

HBO isn’t settling down in Lovecraft Nation.

The premium cable community has cancelled the critically acclaimed science-fiction drama after only one season, TVLine has confirmed.

The hybrid style collection relies on the 2016 novel by Matt Ruff. Set within the Fifties, Lovecraft Nation follows an veteran named Atticus (performed by When We Rise‘s Jonathan Majors) as he units out on a quest  to seek out his lacking father (The Wire‘s Michael Kenneth Williams) in Jim Crow-era America.

“We won’t be shifting ahead with a second season of Lovecraft Nation,” HBO mentioned through assertion. “We’re grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted forged and crew, and to Misha Inexperienced, who crafted this groundbreaking collection.
