Brewers choose Canadian Tyler Black thirty third total in 2021 MLB draft
Tyler Black grew to become the primary Canadian chosen within the 2021 Main League Baseball draft on Sunday.
Black of Stouffville, Ont., was chosen thirty third total by the Milwaukee Brewers within the aggressive stability spherical A.
The second baseman out of Wright State College in Dayton, Ohio, is the son of Canadian sports activities broadcaster Rod Black.
“Proud to have been chosen by the Brewers within the MLB draft,” Tyler Black wrote on his Instagram web page. “Thanks to Wright State Baseball for taking an opportunity on a child from Canada. Excited to get began.”
Black added the hashtag “brewcrew” to the caption, the nickname for the Brewers crew.
The 6-foot-2 participant hit 13 house runs, had 59 RBI and a batting common of .383 in 48 video games with the Wright State Raiders this 12 months. He added 11 stolen bases.
The MLB draft resumes Monday with the second spherical.
